For those who use the Mac version of Dolphin, let's share our experiences, problems and solutions.

I am currently using 3.3.2.1 it seems even faster than 3.3.3.1 version. I have no idea why.. any suggestions?

Dolphin, version 3.3.5 “Fellini”
I think this is the best version yet, on my macbook pro it runs very well and barely any graphics problems or slowness. I would recommend it to any mac user out there.

Some known issues are out there but it's Linden Lab's problem
Like disappearing Alpha when enabling Shadows
Flexprims not really smooth

Kudos on this version Lance!

Man that's what I really like about this viewer, you're very positive and active. And that's what SL needs, cause it's always changing as well and it needs keeping up to date. Good Job!

I'll swear on a stack of user manuals that this has got to be the bestest viewer for Macs -- oh, and anyone else that wants an up-to-date, fast, reliable viewer with excellent support

My 4 1/2 years old MacBook Pro is not the newest one. I never had the performance my friends told me from their Windows machines (50fps with "Ultra" ). In times of viewer 1 I had rates about 15fps which was ok for me, but when I switched to v2 framerate dropped noticeably. Finally when the mesh viewers came out it was a total mess: >5fps on sims with many prims - and even less when other avatars have been present! It was hard to move while textures loaded, and even if this was done it was no fun at all! I checked several viewers and Dolphin was the one with the best performance for me (although it was far beyond being perfect).

Now I checked Dolphin 3.3.3.11 and.... whooooooot... what's happening there  ???? Textures are loading like hell, and I can move while this is done! And now worry about other avatars: I still can move :D !!!!

For me, this is the best performing viewer since I had my last v1 style viewer. SL starts to be fun again    !!!

well...

on my mac dolphin 3 is slow as hell. framerate is somewhere between 2 and 3. on low. with draw distance 64.

...not exactly a miracle seeing the specs:

mac mini of the first generation (or maybe second), intel graphics.

so please do not expect me to be able to debug performance issues on macs.... i can *build* the viewer on it, but not really use it.

now if someone had an old mini of the generation after mine... the one with the nvidia geforce 9600... and wouldn't need it anymore... *hint hint* *grins*

Ever thought of crowdfunding? I payed a few bucks for Quarl's mesh project – which isn't final so far  . So why not help you to get an iMac to provide full service for the Mac users? I couldn't offer enormous amounts, but the magic word is "crowd" :D !!

Performance is much better than with my old MB Pro of course  . Graphics settings "High" with some further improvements (shadows!) is no problem. On my homestead I've about 30fps, on sims with more prims used it's going down to around 15fps – but this is still much better than with the old Mac.

Aaaaaand... Dolphin still feels better than the LL viewer  !!!
